Networks for collective IWRM in the Olifants

AWARD, together with other partners, has been working with stakeholders to support the sustainable management and use of the Olifants River. The last few years of protracted drought have illustrated how vulnerable the lower Olifants River area is in terms of surface water availability. The drought has highlighted the need to work together to avoid increasing water insecurity. AWARD has supported the establishment of various networks and aims to work iteratively with each network before bringing them together.

Lower Olifants Network for IWRM (LORIN)
AWARD has been working with stakeholders to build capacity and foster collaborative relationships in the lower Olifants.
Lower Olifants River Health Forum (LORHEF)
AWARD has been working with riparian stakeholders in the private protected areas to include aquatic health in their management portfolio.
Middle Olifants Network for IWRM (MORIN)
AWARD has been working with stakeholders to build capacity and foster collaborative relationships in the middle Olifants.
