AWARD, together with other partners, has been working with stakeholders to support the sustainable management and use of the Olifants River. The last few years of protracted drought have illustrated how vulnerable the lower Olifants River area is in terms of surface water availability. The drought has highlighted the need to work together to avoid increasing water insecurity. AWARD has supported the establishment of various networks and aims to work iteratively with each network before bringing them together.
